PBwiki Campus Edition Brings Down Institutional Pricing for Hosted Wikis
PBwiki has launched a new academic version of its collaboration service, PBwiki Campus Edition. The new edition offers premium hosted services for academic institutions.
PBwiki is a free wiki space site designed to take the needs of educators into consideration, with case studies and white papers covering the use of collaborative tools in education, as well as features designed to make the service attractive in a classroom setting, such as privacy controls.
While PBwiki's basic edition is available free for all users, including educators, the new PBwiki Campus Edition offers premium services, such as access controls, unlimited storage, and customization features for entire institutions for $799 per year. (Individual premium academic wikis from PBwiki run $99 apiece.) This fee includes unlimited premium wikis hosted by PBwiki for as many as 1,000 students.
