Class Climate 4.0 Brings Customization to Course Evaluations

Scantron has released an update to Class Climate, its course evaluation system designed for higher education. The new version sports new customization options, tracking, and batch management capabilities, among other new features.

Class Climate allows education institutions to conduct automated surveys of learning programs, including individual classes and departments. It provides feedback to instructors and administrators and allows for anonymity on the part of students filling out evaluations. It includes various reporting capabilities, support for online surveys (in addition to bubble surveys), reminders, multiple language settings, and various access control features for filtering information, such as survey results, for groups based on their level of access.

The new 4.0 release adds new customization options in the areas of questionnaire design and report formatting. For bubble form surveys, it also now includes the ability to capture and store images of hand-written comments and, as an add-on option, to translate the contents of those hand-written messages to digital characters.

Other new features include:

  • Style sheet support for online surveys to allow for branding;
  • New error notifications and batch management capabilities in Scanstation;
  • Improved tracking of responses;
  • Support for drag and drop editing of surveys; and
  • A new default online survey template.

Scantron said the latest release contains more than 30 new features, all told.

Class Climate 4.0 is available now. Further information can be found here.
