U Washington Bothell Shares Budget Details with eThority

The University of Washington in Bothell has begun using eThority Enterprise Edition from eThority to increase transparency in its budgeting process. The office of administration and planning will be tapping the eThority business intelligence software for financial reporting.

"With eThority we have been able to keep our stakeholders well-informed and provide widespread insight into how money is being used at a very detailed level," said Marilyn Cox, vice chancellor for administration and planning. "This is especially important in a tough budget year."

The application generates reports from multiple data sources that can be shared campus-wide. An auto-distribute function lets users schedule the compilation and distribution of reports. As reports are sent, the company said in a statement, security filters are applied to the data, so recipients see only the information they're authorized to view.

Software from the company is also in use at Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
