Saybrook U Moves to Web for Student Information Management

Saybrook University, an online graduate school in San Francisco and Kirkland, WA, is adopting an online student information system (SIS) to replace a legacy program that the institution had outgrown. The university will be running TopSchool's Student Lifecycle Management application, which includes modules for a student and prospect portal, a student admission management system, a student information system, and reporting and analytics.

Criteria that Saybrook's staff sought in evaluating a SIS replacement included use of a Web-based model; integration with existing institutional programs, including learning management system Moodle; robust reporting; and a help desk that could support the school's technical challenges in working on the new platform.

"Our current system was no longer able to support our staff in offering the service excellence we want to provide to our students, or scale to meet the demands of our growth," said university president, Mark Schulman. "With TopSchool, we can serve students across all of our campuses more effectively, while implementing a number of best practices that TopSchool follows to support our growth."
