South Carolina Chooses Heartland for Financial Aid Refunds
South Carolina has selected Heartland as a preferred partner to issue financial aid refunds and payments to students electronically. Under the terms of the new agreement, South Carolina state institutions do not need to issue a request for proposal—as was previously required by the state—but can now contract directly with Heartland.
Heartland's financial aid disbursement product Acceluraid can be purchased as a standalone service or integrated with the company's Campus OneCard system. OneCard is a multi-function campus ID card that can also be used as a prepaid debit card.
Students receive a school-branded Discover debit card. Once activated, financial aid funds are loaded to the card. Students can use the card anywhere Discover is accepted.
