At the InfoComm 2012 conference in Las Vegas today, Casio debuted two new models in its Pro series of hybrid laser and LED projectors.

The new models--the XJ-H2600 and XJ-H2650--offer a WXGA resolution and a brightness of 3,500 lumens. Both are DLP-based and use a laser light source coupled with a fluorescent element to output green light, along with LEDs to produce blue and red light. The hybrid lighting technology is designed to be eco-friendly and extend the usable life of the projectors. Both models include a five-year, 10,000-hour warranty on the light source in addition to the three-year parts and labor warranty.

Other features of the new models include an integrated 10-watt speaker and DLP 3D support.

In addition, the XJ-H2650 offers interactive whiteboard functionality with an optional pen and interactive software that, combined, allow users to annotate on screen (or any flat surface) or use mouse mode to control a desktop computer. The XJ-H2650 also offers wired LAN connectivity and USB support, offering wireless connectivity between the projector and Mac OS X- and Windows based desktops and Android-, iOS-, and Windows Mobile-based mobile devices.

The XJ-H2600 is expected to ship for $2,299.99; the XJ-H2650 will run $2,499.99. Casio has not yet released a ship date for the new models.

Casio's new projectors are on display in the InfoComm exhibit hall in booth C5020. Additional details can be found on Casio's site.
