Adaptive Intros New Video Walls and Rigs

Audiovisual vendor Adaptive Technologies Group is introducing several new configurations of video wall frames and rigging for displaying multiple LCD, LED, and plasma monitors. The new gear will be shown off during InfoComm 2012, an AV conference taking place this week in Las Vegas.

Video walls line up displays in various patterns to make an impact and get attention. The products from Adaptive include a 3x3 Flown Video Wall, a 4x1 Flown Quad Display, and 1x4 and 2x2 Mounted Video Walls.

The 3x3 Flown Video Wall shows a landscape configuration that can accommodate nine monitors in a three-up and three-across display. At the show the company will use Sharp PN-V601 60-inch LCDs. The display uses adjustable levelers to align the monitors properly.

The 4x1 Flown Quad setup displays four monitors in a pattern that can be square, rectangular, or hexagonal. The gear uses Adaptive's GridLink rigging system, from which components can be suspended and then aimed precisely without affecting the angles of the other displays. This line of flown displays feature load-rated frames, rigging beams, and accessory attachments, allowing the customer to create and fly full landscape and portrait displays in multiple configurations. The show version of this uses four NEC 55-inch displays.

The company is also introducing two new mounted video wall solutions: a 2x2 Mounted Video Wall and a 1x4 Mounted Video Wall. These are built, the company said in a statement, as entire assemblies, rather than single wall mounts, in order to accommodate very close tolerances between monitors.

Adaptive's video walls include monitor locks and compartments for media players and other electronic devices.
