Exinda Intros Application Pack for Education

Networking solutions provider Exinda unveiled its Education Application Pack at the Campus Technology 2012 Conference taking place this week at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston.

Exinda developed its new application pack for the education network, according to an announcement released today by the company. Designed to prioritize traffic and applications, Education Application Pack for Exinda Edge includes 142 Layer 7 application signatures that “help focus network resources intelligently where they are needed most."

"Traditional approaches for network optimization -- expansion, acceleration and quality of service (QoS) -- simply fail in an educational environment because they do not take into account the personality of the Learning Network or the profile of the user consuming bandwidth," said Nolan Rosen, the company’s chief marketing officer. "In a Learning Network, it's critical for network administrators to know what application is being used, who is using it, and why they are using it. That consistent insight -- powered by Exinda Edge -- can help to contribute to an ongoing balance between learning and social applications."

More information about Exinda and the Education Application Pack is available at the company's Web site.
