Hult International Business School Reaches Out to Alumni with LinkedIn's College Pilot Program
Hult International Business School is one of six universities selected to participate in LinkedIn's College Pilot Program. According to the LinkedIn blog, the goals of the pilot program are to help LinkedIn gain a better of understanding of the needs of students and alumni as they build their professional identities online and to provide schools with tools and access to LinkedIn's products to help schools support their students and alumni with career development and build stronger alumni networks.
Hult International Business School reported it will use the pilot program to connect with its 6,000 alumni worldwide and encourage communication between its current students and alumni. Hult's Alumni Association also plans to use LinkedIn to stay up-to-date on graduates' career progress and use data from LinkedIn to create job opportunities.
According to information released by Hult, more than 60 percent of its alumni currently use LinkedIn, and the school said it anticipates that number to grow to 80 percent through the use of LinkedIn's customized data mining tools to help target and recruit new members to Hult's professional group on LinkedIn.
Hult International Business School offers a number of bachelor's and master's degrees in business at its campuses in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai, and Shanghai, which make for an internationally diverse student body, which Holt claims will "provide LinkedIn with new insights into the global employment market."
The other universities selected for the program are Michigan State University, University of California San Diego, University of Rochester, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and Syracuse University, as well as the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan.
