Wellesley To Revamp Portal with Bluenog

Wellesley College, a liberal arts institution for women, is gearing up to revamp its Web presence using software and services from Bluenog in an effort to boost functionality and provide a richer and more consistent experience for prospective and current students.

As part of the effort, Wellesley has chosen Bluenog ICE as its central content management system. (The college's content management was previously decentralized.) When implemented, it will integrate with Wellesley's ERP, SunGard Higher Education's Banner, and calendar and event scheduling tool, R25.

"Bluenog was the best choice for Wellesley, given our need for a user-friendly Web CMS that could readily integrate data from our enterprise systems. The Bluenog team really listened to our requirements," said Micheline Jedrey, vice president for information services and Wellesley College librarian, in a prepared statement. "The product also offered us the flexibility to leverage Bluenog ICE's integrated portal development and business intelligence features to meet our evolving needs."

The Bluenog Solutions Group will design and implement the new site, which is expected to debut in the fall.

Wellesley serves about 2,300 students in Massachusetts.
