Scholar360 LMS Moves into Healthcare Education

Education technology developer Scholar360 reported this week that it has expanded its Scholar360 LMS to address the needs of nursing schools and other healthcare-related schools.

Scholar360 LMS combines course management, social networking, and Web 2.0 tools in a secure, online hosted learning environment that provides collaboration tools, support for distance education, course and lesson creation, extensive grade and assessment tools, and tracking and report generation, among other capabilities.

According to the company, features incorporated into the LMS targeted toward students in medical-related schools include clinical scheduling features, tracking and evaluation of clinical and course evaluations, areas for posting course materials, and collaborative online communities.

"We chose Scholar360 as our LMS because it was the best value for the money," said Carla Hilton, Covenant School of Nursing, in a prepared statement. "Scholar360 had all the features we needed to take us online with our course content, connect our students and faculty, and manage our course evaluations--all at a price that fits well into our budget. It is Web-based and requires no special IT support or hardware. I recommend Scholar360 to any nursing school wanting to switch to a more affordable LMS or evaluating the benefits of one."
