Bretford Manufacturing, a Franklin Park, IL-based provider of technology-enhanced furniture, has debuted its new charging tray at TCEA 2013 taking place this week in Austin, TX.

Bretford's new mobile device charging tray, with detect-supply-charge technology, is designed to "deliver a full-rate charge to multiple brands of tablets and e-readers that require up to 2.4 amps," according to the company. The charging station can store and provide power for up to 10 devices simultaneously via USB cable. Each storage slot can house a device up to 11 inches (l) x 8 inches (w) x 7/8 inches (h).

The all-steel charging unit, with locking lid and combination lock, can be secured to a work surface or movable carrier. The front of the unit features laser cut numbers, corresponding with USB ports, and LED status indicators. The charging station measures 17.75 inches (w) x 18.125 inches (d) x 11.25 inches (h) and, when fully loaded, weighs roughly 50 pounds.

The company plans to begin shipping its new charging station March 1. Additional information is available at Bretford's Web site.
