eXplorance Launches Instructor Feedback Hub

eXplorance, a producer of "learning experience management" tools, has launched bluepulse, a collaborative hub designed to allow students to provide instructors feedback throughout a course.

Accessible via any Internet-connected device, bluepulse allows students to "share their suggestions or pressing issues anytime through free-style 'tweets,'" according to a news release. Instructors can request feedback on specific aspects of their teaching or proposals for class improvement and receive charts that summarize the perception of the class over time.

Data provided by bluepulse is available only to the instructor, and not to the administration.

"By facilitating direct communication between teachers and students and providing accessible data, bluepulse enables instructors to better understand and address students' expectations," said Geoffrey Crisp, dean of learning and teaching, academic portfolio, RMIT University, in a prepared statement

Bluepulse is available for Blackboard Learn, Canvas, Desire2Learn, Moodle and other learning management systems. For more information, visit explorance.com.
