Florida National University Broadens Online Continuing Education Offerings

Florida National University (FNU) is working with Ed4Online to make available a spate of self-paced open enrollment programs, offering continuing education credits to professionals.

While the university already offers online courses in various disciplines (in addition to three brick and mortar campuses in Miami), the new partnership will expand the scope. New subjects and course areas include: writing and publishing, customer service, test preparation, coaching, and green energy.

Ed4Online is a course provider itself with around 700 online courses, adapted for use on legacy hardware and mobile devices.

"This style of learning is very up to date. Students can access course information such as curricula, learning materials, and more on any smartphone, tablet, laptop, desktop, or any device that allows Internet access," said Jose Alonso, a FNU spokesperson, in a statement. "This will be extremely useful for students who choose to continue their education using this service. It allows flexibility for adults wrestling with a tight schedule."
