Startup Launches Automatic Cloud-Based 3D Printer
A new fully automated and cloud-based 3D printer from NVBOTS will soon hit the market, with features intended to help simplify the sometimes complex 3D printing process.
The printers allow users to connect from any device with a browser--like a tablet or even a smartphone--and log into a website where they can submit files, direct print jobs, and manage their queue. Print jobs can also be monitored via video link if printing remotely.
In addition, the company has released a 3D printing curriculum around hands-on learning to assist teachers and provides service support.
According to the Boston-based startup, printers are being piloted at MIT and a handful of Massachusetts K-12 schools, with plans to have distributed about 100 printers by the end of the year.
