South Carolina College Implements New Student Recruitment Technology

Florence-Darlington Technical College in Florence, SC, is implementing a new technology it believes will help with student recruiting and admissions efforts.

The 6,000-student college has signed a multi-year agreement with Greenwood Hall to offload some of the recruiting responsibilities so that college officials can focus on other mission-critical services.

Greenwood Hall will supply Florence-Darlington with a technology-enabled platform and specialized counselors designed to help prospective students and their parents through the process of applying for financial aid, admission, registration and, eventually, enrollment.

"Our solutions address the full student lifecycle from inquiry to graduation and alumni engagement," said Greenwood Hall CEO John Hall.

Greenwood Hall representatives say they can make the recruitment process both quicker and more efficient with its "single-call" resolution process in which most of the questions and needs of prospective students can be handled with one phone call.

Along with the technology platform and counseling services, the company will also conduct targeted recruitment campaigns to increase enrollment.

"As a leader in preparing today's students to handle the technologies and systems required for tomorrow's health care, sciences and technical workforce, Florence-Darlington understands the importance of deploying state-of-the-art technology and systems to create better outcomes," said Florence-Darlington College President Ben P. Dillard. "We have developed our brand over the past 50 years and we trust Greenwood Hall as we look to expand our student service, recruitment and retention efforts in this transformative time during our school's history."

Florence-Darlington offers more than 75 degree, diploma and certificate programs to students in the South Carolina counties of Florence, Darlington and Marion at its main campus in Florence and five other locations in the three counties.
