Finalists in Fluke Connect Student Contest Announced

Fluke has selected five finalists for its Connect Student Contest, in which teams from colleges, universities and trade schools compete to present the project that demonstrates the best use of Fluke's wireless testing tools.

The finalists will complete their projects by December 5, when both a panel of six judges and the public, which will vote via Facebook, will pick the team that has made the biggest impact using the Fluke Connect system.

The five finalists and their projects are:

Fluke Connect is the latest generation of the Fluke Corp.'s wireless test tools, used by maintenance technicians, electricians and engineers. The competition tests the college teams' skills, innovation and business applications.

After the projects are posted on Fluke Connect's Facebook page December 5, the public will have 10 days to look at them and place their votes. Seventy-five percent of the decision on the winner will be based on the judges' panel and 25 percent on the public.

The winning team will receive a paid trip for three members and an adviser to Fluke headquarters in Seattle along with $1,000 worth of Fluke tools and the Fluke Connect tools used in the competition, worth about $2,500.
