EBSCO Adds EasyBib Citation Integration

EBSCO has integrated EasyBib in an effort to make it easy to export citation data from EBSCO resources to EasyBib tools.

The EasyBib information literacy platform offers citation, research and note-taking tools, and is designed to be "an accurate, fast and comprehensive way for educators to teach students how to become effective and organized researchers," according to a news release. "EBSCO provides research content through hundreds of databases and historical archives as well as the ability to explore the library's collection through a single search box via EBSCO Discovery Service."

With the new integration, users can select the article they want to cite to automatically open their EasyBib account and import the citation.

"EBSCO helps library users access content from many sources," said EBSCO Senior Director of Product Management Harry Kaplanian, in a prepared statement. "The integration with EasyBib allows those users to give proper credit to those sources easily when using the widely used and helpful research management tool, EasyBib."

"Our commitment to providing the best citation and research management tool is further improved with this recent integration," said Neal Taparia, co-CEO and cofounder of EasyBib, in a news release. "As one of the foremost database and discovery technologies in the world, EBSCO is an ideal partner in our goal to provide the best tools and resources to educators worldwide."
