McGraw-Hill Updates SmartBook

McGraw-Hill has launched a new version of its adaptive reading platform, SmartBook, with improvements designed to introduce students to resources at the exact moment they need them and new course areas for higher ed.

Features of SmartBook include:

• The LearnSmart engine, which is designed to adapt to students in real time;
• Four sections, including preview, read, practice and recharge, designed to improve outcomes and retention;
• Instructor reports with real-time information on individual and class performance;
• Compatible with tablets using a native mobile app and PCs via a Web browser; and
• More than 300 course areas available for higher education.

"As the digital learning landscape evolves, SmartBook caters even more to what learners need on a personalized level, allowing them to feel more confident and achieve greater success," said David Levin, president and chief executive officer of McGraw-Hill Education, in a prepared statement. "With this release, we've taken SmartBook's already robust feature set and advanced it.
