NEC Introduces 2 New Large-Screen Displays

NEC Display Solutions of America has unveiled two new large-screen display products that can be used in classrooms. According to NEC, the E705 and E805 offer more features than previous models with higher visual quality.

The 70-inch E705 has an advertised price of $3,199 and the 80-inch E805 an advertised price of $5,599.

Features of both models include:

  • Full-metal chassis and LED backlighting;
  • Internal 10-watt speakers with carrying handles;
  • Integrated temperature sensors and thermostat-controlled cooling fans to enhance the lifetime of the display screens;
  • An input panel with ports that will accommodate almost all possible laptop brands;
  • Infrared sensor and button lock options;
  • Power consumption mode that helps lower energy costs; and
  • Automatic start-up options.

"The E Series large-screen displays come with a rich feature set and full external control, all at an attractive price point for this market," said Keith Yanke, NEC Display Solutions senior director for large-screen displays and projectors. "NEC is committed to giving organizations more display options to help them reach their current goals, while managing their technology investments for the future."
