SunGard Launches Banner Enrollment Management Suite

3/5/2007

SunGard Higher Education has debuted a new tool for recruiting, admissions, and retention management. Designed specifically for higher education, the new technology--Banner Enrollment Management Suite (BEMS)--is designed to address all phases of enrollment management, from planning to measurement.

BEMS captures data on recruiting, retention, and advancement and connects those data in order to provide analyses of an institution's enrollment efforts. Data are collected beginning with the recruiting process, including financial aid information, and are tracked to provide persistent historical information through the student lifecycle.

"Enrollment managers from all sizes and types of institutions are working against critical performance imperatives. Whether the goals are to enroll more students, more precisely shape the composition of incoming classes, or increase retention and graduation rates, the pressure to measurably improve enrollment outcomes is intensifying," according to SunGard. "Successfully meeting these goals involves a complex web of interactions that begin with navigating prospective students toward the institution, then guiding students toward successful graduation, all the while cultivating loyal bonds that support life-long alumni ties."

To this end, BEMS includes relationship management applications, performance management applications, and strategic consulting services for recruiting, admissions, student retention, and alumni development. It also includes a package of scorecards, dashboards, reports, and analytics tools.
