12/4/2007

Jenzabar this week released an update to its Jenzabar EX enterprise resource planning solution. The new 2.7 update, which shipped Monday, adds "significant" enhancements to two of the suite's modules, according to the company, and incorporates various other improvements throughout.

Jenzabar EX is a suite of campus administrative tools for the Microsoft SQL Server platform, including accounts payable/receivable, admissions, advising, alumni relations, communications, financial aid, general ledger, payroll, personnel, purchasing, and registration, among others. The Web-enabled suite also provides course management, electronic learning, and electronic commerce functionality.

The new version 2.7 adds enhancements to the Financial Aid and Student Life modules. On the Financial Aid side, these include new, automated disbursements and adjustments to student accounts. For the Student Life module, improvements include increased functionality in the areas of residence life and violation management (including vehicle violation management), adding new tracking and management capabilities.

The suite as a whole has also been improved in the areas of performance and workflow.
