Missouri College Streamlines Document Management

Missouri's College of the Ozarks has chosen a new document management solution from Perceptive Software to help it transition from paper and manual processes to an electronic document repository. The school, located in Point Lookout, MO, will be implementing Perceptive's ImageNow in its financial aid and admission offices.The software performs document management as well as imaging and workflow. Employees at the college will have access to documents in digital form from within familiar applications. The school will use LearnMode, a point-and-click method for integrating ImageNow with the campus' implementation of Jenzabar EX, a suite of higher education applications. After its initial deployment, the college intends to expand the use of the software into its registrars and business offices.
"ImageNow offers a secure document management solution that will allow us to create a document retention policy, which will not only help us comply with several records retention guidelines but also improve our document purge process," said Debbie Henderson, director of IT for the college.
College of the Ozarks, with 1,400 students, has a unique student work program that earned it the nickname, "Hard Work U." Each year students are placed in one of the college's 80 workstations to work 15 hours per week. In exchange for their work, each student graduates debt-free.
