Grantham U To Implement 'Unified Digital Campus'

Grantham University, an online university that educates working adults, went public with plans to implement Banner "Unified Digital Campus" solutions from SunGard Higher Education to help it expand its digital campus and improve online student services.The 6,000-student school will be deploying a number of applications, including Banner modules for Student Information, Finance and Financial Aid; Integration technologies; the Luminis Platform, which offers a portal, communication functions and administrative components; WorkFlow, a business process management tool; Banner XtenderSolutions, an imaging and document management suite; and EDI.Smart, a utility for electronic document translation and mapping.
"We believe that the implementation of the Banner Unified Digital Campus solutions ... will help our organization become more agile, responsive and effective in helping our learners achieve their goals," said J. Patrick Campbell, president of the university.
The Banner Unified Digital Campus administrative system from SunGard Higher Education will support business processes to help the University manage its growing enrollment. In addition, self-service capabilities provided by the software are expected to help users complete administrative tasks online, such as applying for and accepting financial aid online. The school expects to set up business rules to automate the processing of financial aid adhering to federal, state, and institutional policies.
The school, located in Kansas City, MO, is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council.
