Radiant Logic Releases New Version of Virtual Directory Server

Radiant Logic has rolled out
RadiantOne Virtual Directory Server (VDS) 5.0, a set of tools for managing identity integration for Web site single signon and federation.
RadiantOne VDS 5.0 uses a three-step wizard, designed to connect all back-end sources to the virtual directory. Users can aggregate and integrate identity data from any data source and extend it with additional attributes for authorization. This version of RadiantOne VDS was specifically designed to simplify the process of consolidating and authenticating users from multiple Active Directory forests and domains, different databases, and other identity sources. The software then leverages this identity information by making it appear as one common virtual LDAP v3 compliant directory compatible with SUN/RedHat/Netscape directories. This new release also includes a set of scenario/wizard driven templates for the deployment of
CA SiteMinder, Web single sign-on,
EMC Access Manager (formerly RSA ClearTrust), and
IBM Tivoli Access Manager.
VDS 5.0 features include:
- VDS Designer and Admin Console--With new scenario-driven wizards, users can deploy various identity and access management tasks. Scenarios include Web access management, Microsoft Active Directory object and attribute mapping to SunOne (or another LDAP v3 directory server), and Active Directory forest aggregation. The product also supports role-based delegated administration.
- Access & Audit Logging--VDS 5.0 offers database-based log files that can tell administrators who accessed what and when.
- VDS local LDAP store and LDAP router--The software ships with an LDAP v3 directory to provide local storage for custom configurations, non-intrusive schema and attribute extensions and cache. In addition, an LDAP router offers load balancing and failover and monitors the health of the virtualized identity stores.
