Mercer U Renovates Administrative Systems

The school, which has 7,300 students, also will pilot the company's suite of e-learning services for support of the Moodle open-source learning management system. The campus, traditionally a BlackBoard WebCT user, has been testing Moodle within a single summer class.
"Campus Management's ecosystem will be a cornerstone of our vision for the future," said Mercer's CTO, Mickey Belote. "Their technology will provide a user-friendly experience and a rich feature set for all of our traditional and non-traditional students, regardless of which campus or program they choose. We are very excited to have found a partner to help us achieve our vision and a competitive edge in today's rapidly-changing market for higher education."
The management platform, which is in use in 1,100 colleges and universities, according to the company, provides integrated and centralized administrative and e-learning management and reporting software. CampusVue, a primary application in the suite, is a student services system with features for multi-catalog management, recruiting services tools, financial aid estimators, real-time tuition, billing and compliance-related reports, SMS text messaging, and workflow automation for academic progress and e-advising.
