- Eastern Michigan University and the City of Ypsilanti in Michigan are partnering to create a mapping and tracking system for area crime. The team, which consists of EMU's Institute for Geospatial Research, EMU's Department of Public Safety, and the Ypsilanti Police Department, have developed a Google mashup to provide users with a visual representation of where crime is occurring by adding markers to a map of the campus and the city.More
- Kyungpook National University in Daegu, South Korea will be running A10 Networks' ID Series network identity management appliance for wireless network access. The appliance will allow the university to integrate identity tracking, remote authentication dial-in user service (RADIUS), and authenticated dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) in a single platform for its wireless infrastructure.More

The tips, which can remain anonymous, may originate from electronic mail and cell phone or personal digital assistant SMS or text messages.More
