    Arizona State University in Tempe has added Facebook, Twitter, and RSS feeds to its emergency messaging system. E2Campus, the university's emergency messaging provider, recently integrated the social networking functionality into its subscriber profiles.

  • OpenDNS Blocks Academic Fraud

    OpenDNS is rolling out a new Internet security tool to block academic fraud sites. As part of its free and premium cloud-based DNS and filtering services, the company is launching a new feature that prevents users from accessing Internet resources that enable academic fraud, such as essay ghostwriting services and other sites that help students violate an institution's academic integrity guidelines.

  • Intelliworks and Starfish To Link Student Recruitment and Retention

    Two companies that develop software for higher education operations have teamed up to help customers with enrollment management. Intelliworks, which sells constituent relationship management applications, and Starfish Retention Solutions, which sells early-alert programs to monitor daily student participation, have begun working together to integrate their offerings.

  • New Hampshire Colleges Adopt Data Analytics

    Four community colleges in New Hampshire have adopted software for data analysis from Rapid Insight, a company based in that state. Manchester Community College, White Mountains Community College in Berlin, Nashua Community College, and River Valley Community College in Claremont have all selected Rapid Insight as their analytical software provider.
