200 Titles to Be Offered Through CourseMate LMS
Digital Learning Management Corporation signed an agreement with
ProsoftTraining to bundle over 200 of Prosoft's training courses in
Information Technology ('IT') with Digital’s Online Learning System and
offer the package to colleges and universities in California. Courses
can be tailored to conform to ADL/SCORM standards.
Sprint-APEC $14.6 Million Partnership to Expand Broadband Access
Sprint and the Albemarle-Pamlico Economic Development Corp. (APEC) will
expand broadband access and eLearning capabilities east of Interstate
95. Universities include: Elizabeth City State University, East Carolina
University and the Center for Marine Science and Technology in Morehead
City. The network supports MCNC's grid computing initiative, enabling
and enhancing eLearning across the UNC system and other institutions.

Users can easily incorporate audio, video, animations and more into interactive

Blackboard More than 12 Million Active Users
Blackboard now has more than 600 Blackboard Learning System
enterprise licenses and more than 1,400 Blackboard Learning System - Basic
Edition licenses. Together these support more than 12 million active

Funding Approved for NSU Tech Center
The Board of Regents approved a preliminary design and $7 million in
funding for a technology center at Northern State University. The
three-story, 39,000 square-foot building will adjoin the college's
eLearning center.
UMass Selects WebCT Vista to Manage Distance Learning Program
UMassOnline, the online learning division of The University of Massachusetts,
has selected the WebCT Vista academic enterprise system to manage its 15,000-student
distance learning program as well as provide tools to support Web course content
for thousands of students, enabling close collaboration among the five UMass
campuses.

New Digital Cinema Degree Reflects A Growing Market for Documentaries
National University is offering a new online Master of Fine Arts degree
in digital cinema through its School of Arts and Sciences. The program
is designed to educate students in all aspects of the digital film
medium, from film history and theory to screen writing and film
production. Graduates will be prepared as independent and
documentary-style filmmakers, or to work in the growing fields of
commercial, industrial and educational film.
