Silence is Golden

Disruptive and loud computer labs in libraries and classrooms are now a thing of the past. Gateway, the PC maker, is introducing three new models in its E-Series desktop line. The new PCs are designed to keep cool quietly using Balanced Transfer Extended (BTX) technology, a chassis that uses larger, quieter cooling fans. The cooling fans complement today’s new higher-functioning processors and internal components, keeping them from overheating by channeling air more effectively and reducing noise at the same time. The three new Gateway models include: E-2300, E4300, and E6300. Prices start at $749. www.gateway.com.
