Rolls-Royce Donates Turbine to G.W. School of Engineering

Rolls-Royce Inc. has donated an industrial gas turbine to George Washington University's School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) so GW engineering students can develop computer models to study jet engine failure prevention. Students will also use digitized data from the 501-K5 Turbine to help create a generic engine model. The engine will be housed at the university's National Crash Analysis Center (NCAC) in Ashburn, Va.

Jenzabar Partners to Offer Career Services Via Web Offering

Electronic learning platform developer Jenzabar, Inc. formed a partnership with an employment services provider to begin offering career research services via its Web platform and portal. The deal with CSO Research, Inc., a provider of automated employment services, “will more tightly integrate career services with the overall educational experience” via the Jenzabar portal, the company said.

The company said career support is one of the deliverables most desired by students, according to its research. As part of the deal, CSO Research's Interfase system will now be available to Jenzabar clients as part of its Total Campus Management platform. Interfase manages student employment resumes and paperwork, job listings, and on-campus interview schedules, as well as placement and referral tracking.
