Lomonosov Moscow State University and Vemics Launch Russian Language Courses Online

Vemics, a provider of real-time learning technology, has launched its first project with newly acquired company e-Learning Desktop at Lomonosov Moscow State University in Russia. The company, e-Learning Desktop, will be offering an online Russian language curriculum scheduled to begin in September.
The new program will include basic Russian courses under the direction of Svetlana Terminasova, dean of faculty of foreign languages at the university. The curriculum will be included in the Global Business English program, a recent endeavor of Vemics and the University of Miami.
According to Vemics, the program is designed to be accessed online with a broadband Internet connection. Instructors will be able to broadcast nine real-time videos and VoIP audio, and Class meetings can be archived and accessed later by teachers and students.
Lomonosov Moscow State University, located in Moscow, has more than 47,000 students currently enrolled for undergraduate and graduate work.
