Taylor University Expands Online Event Communications
Indiana's Taylor University has selected Seattle-based Trumba Corp.'s Trumba Connect to enhance its event calendar to help students, alumni, faculty, and staff communicate.
The system provides online calendar functions that increase event awareness and attendance and better connects them with their audiences through a suite of tools such as a hosted, interactive Web calendar, e-mail, and reporting services. It also provides RSS feeds, reminders via text messaging and email, and seamless integration into Taylor's website to maintain the university's brand look and feel.
"We were looking for a product that would easily fit within our branding and provide solid calendaring," said Taylor's Director of Online Communications Evan Kittleman in a prepared statement.
The campus-wide calendar of the interdenominational Christian university currently displays a variety of activities, including admissions, athletics, performing arts, and parent and alumni events.
While Taylor manages its events calendar centrally, multiple editor accounts in Trumba Connect will let departments across campus maintain their own events--a useful feature given that Taylor has campuses in both Fort Wayne, IN and Upland, IN.
