Community College Deploys Colleague Student Applications

Kansas City Kansas Community College will soon deploy a centralized database in its back office using Colleague Student finance and human resource applications from Datatel, a provider of information management systems. The program is designed to focus on five higher education administration areas , including enrollment and student services, financial management, financial aid, human resources, and institutional advancement.  

"One of the important responsibilities of an institution is to ensure that it is accomplishing its mission and goals in a sustained and effective manner," said Morteza Ardebili, provost at Kansas City Kansas Community College, in a prepared statement. "Datatel's ability to collect and analyze data in a centralized fashion will help us promote institutional effectiveness, strategic initiatives, and goals."

With the new applications, the school said it plans to provide online applications and registration and redesign its website, according to Datatel. Application purchased by the college include:
  • Datatel Colleague Student;
  • Datatel Colleague Finance;
  • Datatel Colleague Human Resources;
  • Datatel’s ActiveCampus Portal; and
  • Datatel’s ActiveAdmissions.
