Campus Technology 2008 Pre-Reg Up 25%
[Press Release] Attendee pre-registration for Campus Technology 2008, the 15th annual higher education technology conference and expo, has jumped more than 25% over registration numbers for last year’s conference. Nearly 800 higher education technology leaders have already registered and totals are expected to climb through the end of this week.
The conference, scheduled for July 28-31 at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) in Boston, MA, explores the revolutionary communication and collaboration technologies of “Web 2.0.” Under the theme “Welcome to Next-Gen.Edu,” all workshops, general sessions and special MIT campus tours will focus on the applications, software and services that are revolutionizing education throughout the campus.
The number of technology companies exhibiting at Campus Technology 2008 also has increased by a corresponding 30%, with 100-plus providors scheduled to display and demonstrate their latest technology products in the conference Exhibit Hall at the BCEC.
“We are delighted at both the attendee and exhibitor response to this year’s conference,” said Wendy LaDuke, President & Group Publisher, 1105 Media Education Group. “Clearly Web 2.0 and its emerging technologies is a pressing issue on campuses around the country, and we are pleased to provide cutting-edge information and solutions for the higher-education technology community at this year’s conference.”
Online pre-registration for the Campus Technology 2008 will remain open through July 25, with on-site registration available beginning Sunday, July 27.
