Ave Maria U Swaps Financial Aid Management

Ave Maria University in Naples, FL has selected Regent Enterprise from Regent Education as its financial aid management solution. The new application will integrate with Ave Maria's current student information system, SunGard Higher Education PowerCampus, as well as its business management solution, Microsoft Dynamics GP (formerly Great Plains).

"Regent Enterprise will enable Ave Maria to manage its financial aid activities more efficiently," said Anne Hart, director of financial aid. "We selected Regent for its ability to meet our extensive list of requirements through a Web-based solution."

Prior to selecting Regent, Ave Maria managed its financial aid using PowerFAIDS, developed by College Board. Ave Maria was looking for a system that offered a streamlined financial aid process, support of work-study students, support of new Department of Education regulations, and reporting capabilities.

Additionally, the application provides a multi-language student portal that allows students to check application status, view and accept awards, communicate directly with the financial aid office, and electronically sign and return documents.

Regent software is also used by institutions in the Washington State Board for Community & Technical Colleges, Santa Monica College in California, and Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY.
