Hyland Software, which sells OnBase, a document management application, has launched a free service to identify and track grant money for funding the purchase of its product. The company has partnered with Grants Office, a for-profit research firm that helps organizations find and obtain grant funding, to deliver the program.
"Organizations are at a crossroads," said Bill Priemer, chief operating officer for Hyland. "Their goal is to find ways to do more with less, but they can't fund the necessary technology to make it happen. To make matters worse, they don't always have the time or resources to track down grant funding. The free GOstream tool provides personalized grant information and updates, allowing organizations to quickly and easily locate possible funding sources for their OnBase investment. It's an efficient and cost-effective way to secure a technology proven to bring fast, measurable savings."
Interested organizations go to a specific area of the Grants Office Web site and register to gain access to a database of federal, state, corporate, and foundation grants. Once registered, the grant data is customized so users see information appropriate for their type of institution. Also, a weekly e-mail is sent containing any changes and upcoming grant deadlines. The company said the service's benefits are three-pronged: it finds relevant grants more quickly, points out those that may be overlooked, and identifies the best ones to pursue.
