Sanyo Debuts High Light Output Projectors

Sanyo has two new bright projectors, the PLC-XM150/150L and PLC-XM100/100L, with 6,000 and 5,000 lumens, respectively.

Sanyo said the company's new Active Maintenance Filter system, inorganic liquid crystal panel, and new optical engine resulted in 20 percent better light efficiency than previous Sanyo projectors. They're designed for big-screen projection in bright environments in large venues, including lecture halls and multipurpose rooms.

There are five lens options available for the PLC-XM150/150L and PLC-XM100/100L, and they offer a vertical 360-degree tilt angle.

The brightness is the only difference between the two projectors. They are both specified at 1,024 x 768 XGA resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, and 1,000:1 contrast and deliver images ranging in size from from 40 inches to 400 inches (diagonal). The new models also offer LAN connectivity.

The PLC-XM150L with no lens is $4,795; with lens it's $5,460. The PLC-XM100L with no lens is $3,895; with lens is $4,349.
