Epson Boosts Brightness on Large-Venue Projector
Epson has introduced the PowerLite Pro Z8050WNL, the company’s brightest large-venue projector to date. The new model is specified at 7,000 lumens, with native WXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution and 5,000:1 contrast ratio.
The 3LCD projector was developed specifically for large-venue applications such as lecture halls and auditoriums, but it also has a message broadcast functionality for use in digital signage.
The PowerLite Pro Z8050WNL features customized powered lens options for motorized zoom, focus, and lens shift functions, controllable through the remote, RS-232, or IP. The centered lens design allows installation ±30 degrees off-axis horizontally and ±10-degrees off-axis vertically. Any of six optional lenses may be chosen to best suit the application.
Other features include:
- LAN connectivity;
- A built-in closed captioning decoder;
- Monitor and control via included Epson monitor software;
- A new liquid cooling system; and
- Dual-lamp design.
The Epson PowerLite Pro Z8050WNL projector is currently available through pro audio/video dealers for $18,999.
