Cooper Notification Intros High Power Outdoor Speaker Array

A company in the emergency notification business has introduced a new addition to its outdoor siren line. Cooper Notification's Waves High Power Speaker Array 7100 Series provides "highly intelligible" voice and tone announcements to cover large geographic areas.

The array, which features multiple speakers--"horns"--arranged in a vertical line, can be integrated with an organization's voice-capable fire alarm control panel. It can also tie into Cooper's own voice evacuation and notification systems.

According to the company, by creating a nearly cylindrical sound propagation pattern, the system allows messages to be clearly understood no matter how close or far away a person is.

Cooper's emergency communication products are in use at University of Central Florida in Orlando and the University of Texas at San Antonio, among other campuses.
