Viewsonic Ships Portable 3D Classroom Projectors

Viewsonic has rolled out three new 3D-capable, DLP-based portable classroom projectors.
The new projectors--the PJD5133, the PJD5233, and the PJD5523w--range in resolution from SVGA to XGA to WXGA, respectively. All offer a brightness of 2,700 lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 3,000:1.
Both the PJD5133 and the PJD5233 use a 1.1x zoom lens to display a projected image that ranges from 27 inches to 300 inches at distances between 3.9 feet and 32.8 feet. Equipped with a 1.2x zoom lens, the PJD5523w produces a projected area ranging from 27 inches to 300 inches at distances between 4.6 feet and 26.6 feet.
Features common to all of the projectors include:
- Vertical keystone correction of ±40 degrees;
- Integrated 1 watt speaker; and
- A lamp life of up to 6,000 hours in economy mode.
The projectors weigh 7.5 pounds and measure 3.2" (h) x 11.2" (w) x 9.2" (d).
AV inputs include HDMI, two analog RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin), S-video, composite, and a stereo minijack. AV outputs and peripheral ports include analog RGB/component (mini D-sub 15-pin), stereo minijack, RS-232, and USB.
The PJD5133, the PJD5233, and the PJD5523w are covered by both a three-year limited parts warranty and a one-year limited lamp warranty. All three projectors are currently available.
