Berkeley College Adopts Courseload To Provide Digital Course Materials

Berkeley College has selected Courseload, Inc. to provide digital material for the college’s online academic program.

Berkeley College has four New Jersey locations including Woodland Park, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Newark and four New York locations including Midtown Manhattan, Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn, and White Plains. The school currently enrolls more than 8,500 students in more than 20 career fields with more than 2,500 students taking at least some coursework online from the college.

The move affects more than 140 online academic courses offered by Berkeley College, with Courseload providing the sole learning platform across the entire online learning program at the college.

For its part, Courseload will provide:

  • Interactive study tools;
  • Published material in a digital format;
  • Access for students and faculty from multiple devices; and
  • Analytics and other tools for educators.

Faculty will be able to offer a variety of materials with their online courses including both open source and self-generated resources. Courseload also offers protection for proprietary material that might otherwise be compromised and lead to lost revenue for online academic programs.

"Our experience with the Courseload platform during a summer pilot program was well received by our faculty and students," said Glen Zeitzer, Berkeley College provost. "The Courseload platform facilitated online collaboration. We expect full implementation will positively impact the success of Berkeley College students."
