Campus Management Partners with StarRez To Provide Student Housing Management

Educational software provider Campus Management, makers of CampusVue software, will partner with StarRez, a provider of student housing software.

Customers currently using CampusVue for student housing management will have the option to integrate their system with the one offered by StarRez for services such as online selection of a room and roommate, electronic housing contracts, staff functions, and billing and reporting functions. According to information provided by the companies, StarRez is in use by more than 300 customers worldwide.

The integrated system will offer options and services to both college and university staff and to students seeking to navigate life away from home, often for the first time. Institutional staff will gain additional resources for managing student life with help on billing and reporting student data. Students will receive support and help in finding a roommate based on shared likes and dislikes and will have the chance to meet potential roommates.

Key features of the integration include:

  • Single sign-on access between the portal at the institution and the StarRez system;
  • Synchronization of demographic data;
  • Updating of student biographical data;
  • Built-in room and roommate search based on personal data;
  • Messaging between potential roommates; and
  • Coordinated billing, reporting and email.

"Through our partnership with StarRez, our clients will be able to organize student housing accurately and efficiently based on the preferences of their students, offering the students a range of increased services online," said Dan Germain, director of business development for Campus Management.
