CampusVue Updates SIS with New Forms Builder

Campus Management has come out with a new version of its student information system that's built to exploit Microsoft's collaboration platform, SharePoint 2010. Version 12.1 of CampusVue Student has 65 new features, the company said in a statement.
Updates focus on improvements for specific administration areas, including financial aid and admissions, as well as a new tool for building electronic forms.
The new version includes CampusVue Forms Builder, an application that lets users create forms and set up workflows by dragging and dropping data fields. The program can also now handle additional forms of processing for Department of Education Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) disbursements. Admissions offices gain a customizable tool for importing test scores or flat files from testing agencies. A new set of features allows a student to self-select and administer his or her Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) settings.
CampusVue also includes new integration capabilities for institutions using Talisma Constituent Relationship Management and CampusVue Student (both owned by Campus Management). Users can shuttle data more easily between the two systems. The company suggested that this integration will allow institutions to develop "early warning" mechanisms as part of retention efforts by relying on both applications in order to send alerts, notices, and reminders through students' chosen communications channels.

"The application, the architecture, and the depth of new features reinforce our core principles focused on flexibility, scalability, and user centric design."
