A reference service that provides technical information has added a new subject area specifically covering computer hardware engineering. Knovel, which sells subscriptions to a Web-based application that integrates technical information with analytical and search tools, has added the topic to address the research needs of electronics, computer, aerospace, and mechanical engineers.
The new subject area offers information on best practices, design guidelines, new technologies, innovative chip architecture, and optimized system design; it features 75 references on circuit design, embedded systems and programming, networks and sensors, computer architecture, processors, memory and peripherals.
"Knovel's Computer Hardware Engineering subject area is designed to bring engineers up to speed with the latest technology, offer real-world guidance on device optimization strategies, and provide help in integrating these computer systems into products ranging from thermostats to airplanes," said Meagan Cooke, Knovel's director of content strategy.
