Christie Intros LCD Projectors for Large and Medium Venues

The LX1200

Christie Digital has rolled out two new 3LCD projectors for higher education, the LX1200 and the LHD700. The newly released projectors cover a broad range of brightness and feature 4D color technology.

The LX1200, designed for large venues with high levels of ambient light, offers a native resolution of 1,024 x 768 (XGA), a brightness of 12,000 lumens, and a contrast ratio of 4,000:1. The LX1200 supports RS-232 control and can be stacked for redundancy or for a combined brightness of 24,000 lumens.

Additional features of the LX1200 include:

  • Automatic discoloration protection;
  • Vertical digital keystone correction of +/- 40 degrees;
  • Horizontal digital keystone correction of +/-20 degrees;
  • Motorized focus, zoom, and lens shift;
  • A 330-watt bulb; and
  • An economy mode that extends the estimated lamp life from 2,000 hours to 3,000 hours.

The LX1200 measures 10.5 inches (h) x 20.9 inches (w) x 29.8 inches (d) and weighs 60.9 pounds. AV inputs of the LX1200 include DVI-I, 5BNC, and S-video. Control ports include RS-232 in and RS-232 out. The unit is also equipped with two card slots.

Christie's LHD700 is designed for use in medium-sized venues. The projector has a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 (HD), a brightness of 7,000 lumens, and a contrast ratio of 3,000:1. The LHD700 supports both wired LAN connections and RS-232 control.

Features of the LHD700 include:

  • Vertical digital keystone correction of +/- 40 degrees;
  • Horizontal digital keystone correction of +/-20 degrees;
  • Color matching;
  • Edge blending;
  • Motorized zoom, focus, and lens shift;
  • A 380-watt lamp;
  • An economy mode that extends the estimated lamp life from 2,000 hours to 3,000 hours;
  • AMX Device Discovery;
  • Crestron RoomView software; and
  • Stacking capabilities.

The LHD700 measures 7.36 inches (h) x 14.5 inches (w) x 17 inches (d) and weighs 25.1 pounds. AV inputs of the LHD700 include DVI-D, 5BNC, and S-video. The projector’s peripheral and control ports include RJ-45, RS-232 in, and RS-232 out.

Both projectors are currently available and covered by a 3-year parts and labor warranty.
