Epson Intros PowerLite X15 Projector
Epson has debuted its PowerLite X15 projector with 3,000 lumens color and white light output, XGA resolution, and advanced connectivity for small- and medium-sized classrooms and conference rooms, according to a statement released last week by the company. The PowerLite X15 replaces Epson's PowerLite 92.
Epson's new projector offers HDMI digital connectivity, USB plug and play, and Easy-Slide technology, a horizontal keystone adjustment slide control bar that enables users to position the projector off-center from the screen and adjust the horizontal image with their finger. The X15 also features closed captioning technology for the hearing impaired.
Epson included Direct Power On and Off control with the X15, which allows users to power the projector on or off with a wall switch. With the projector's A/V Mute Slide, presenters can turn off sound and images while the Instant On and Instant Off feature enables presenters to start or end their presentation in less than five seconds.
Additional features of the X15 include:
- ±30 degree horizontal keystone slide and automatic vertical keystone correction;
- 1.2x optical zoom;
- Extended lamp life of up to 5,000 hours in economy mode;
- Two VGA ports;
- Audio out and monitor out ports;
- RS-232c support for connecting to an AV control device;
- 3LCD, 3-chip technology.
The PowerLite X15 will begin shipping in May. Epson invites school to participate in their Brighter Futures program, which includes special pricing, extended three-year limited warranty coverage, education account managers, and toll-free technical support.
