Panda Security Launches Cloud-Based Systems Management Service

Cyber security company Panda Security recently released a new service specifically to allow network administrators to do remote management and monitoring of IT services. Panda Cloud Systems Management handles inventory, monitoring, management, remote support, and reporting. The current release covers Windows and Mac devices through an agent; mobile devices will shortly be added, according to the company.

In the area of inventory, the service provides audits and asset management to provide visibility of the organization's devices and do hardware and software inventories; automatic hardware and software audits take place every 24 hours. The program also handles change logs and can manage devices by group, profile, or filter.

Global monitoring of servers and devices can take place by alerts, dashboards, and graphs. Trend detection allows the administrator to achieve proactive diagnostics.

The IT person can automate maintenance tasks through a central console for software deployment, patch installation, and troubleshooting automation.

The administrator can run diagnostics and resolve issues without user intervention through integration with Windows Remote Desktop, file and local disk drive sharing and transfer, and remote screen capture for troubleshooting.

IT can also perform reporting of activities on the network to capture and communicate on-going value of support and guide continual improvement measures.
