Medical College Adopts New ERP To Improve Efficiency

International American University College of Medicine in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia will be adopting an enterprise resource planning system to replace a disparate set of programs and processes for managing students.

"We had a serious lack of integration between system modules and had to rely on manual entry of application information," said Mark Slivkoff, dean of academic affairs. "We didn't have any electronic document management or student or faculty portals; and managing clinical rotations was also a major headache."

The school, located in the West Indies, selected the web-based CAMS Enterprise solution from Three Rivers Systems over several other potential suites of applications, including those from Empower Software Solutions and ieLinks.

The selection committee was drawn to CAMS Enterprise's overall ease of use, strong registration and degree-audit modules, and its ability to support the college's clinical rotations.

Built on Microsoft technologies, CAMS Enterprise provides modules for enrollment, student services, online learning, and business and advancement office operations. Among institutional users are Baylor College of Medicine and National University of Health Sciences.
