Canadian University of Dubai Implements New ERP System

Canadian University of Dubai (CUD) has completed implementation of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system in less than six months.

The university had been looking for an academic ERP system that used the latest technology. After considering a competing solution, university decision-makers selected Three Rivers Systems' CAMS Enterprise, a 100-percent Web-native academic ERP solution built from the ground up for higher education.

CUD began the implementation process in February. Since then, it has installed and configured the software, converted and imported the institution's data, and trained its staff. According to information from Three Rivers Systems, some academic ERP implementations can take years to complete, but CAMS Enterprise can be up and running in months because it's fully integrated around a secure, single, shared Microsoft SQL database.

The ERP selection committee at CUD said it was impressed by CAMS' ease of use; strong admissions, registration, and financial-aid packages; degree-audit and billing modules; and various portals and business analytics tools. According to information from the company, CAMS Enterprise can manage the entire student lifecycle and supports online applications, registration and payment, business analytics, mobility, integrated financial aid, built-in degree audit, built-in portals, and government-mandated reports.

Canadian University of Dubai is a Canadian university located in United Arab Emirates. The university offers a Canadian-based curriculum in English for numerous bachelor's and master's degree programs and serves as a gateway for students to pursue higher education in Canada.
